Three white marble fireplaces incrusted with lapis-lazuli and jasper and decorated with gilded bronze inlays are along the western wall of The Marble Gallery is one of the biggest ceremonial rooms in St Michael’s Castle. Bivacco is on view from 11 May 2019 to 30 September 2019 in the large and magnificent garden on the island of San Servolo / Venezia (Italy). The emergency accommodation, chosen for its emblematic and evocative function, was provided by the famous mountain climber Reinhold Messner.
